Brick Road Pale Ale

Brick Road Pale Ale is a classic pale-straw, down-under pale ale with low-to-medium bitterness and included pale-ale yeast. It can be adjusted for standard, fuller-malt or lower-alcohol brewing.

• Strength options: Approximately 2.6–4.8% ABV, depending on the can recipe selected

Recipe options

Use 1kg dextrose for the standard lighter result or 1kg Brick Road Extra Light DME for more malt character. A fuller version can use 1.5kg Brick Road Extra Light Malt with an additional suitable ale yeast, following the can recipe. Use the approximately 250g option for lower alcohol.

The supplied guidance suggests 30–100g of suitable New World hops for a more aromatic pale ale. Match the amount to the intended intensity and follow the can’s timing instructions.

Other Brick Road pale and IPA styles

• Brick Road Hazy Pale Ale – a wheat-led hazy base with hazy ale yeast.
• Brick Road IPA – a clean, hop-forward IPA with American ale yeast.
• Brick Road XPA – an extra-light, clean and dry pale ale.
