Brick Road XPA is an extra-light, clean and dry pale ale with subtle fruit character, mild malt balance and included American ale yeast.
Typical 23-litre profile
- Colour: Approximately 5 EBC
- Bitterness: Approximately 17 IBU
- Original gravity: Approximately 1.038
- Final gravity: Approximately 1.008
- Strength options: Approximately 2.6–4.8% ABV, depending on the can recipe selected
Recipe options
Use 1kg dextrose for a light, dry standard result or 1kg Brick Road Extra Light DME for more malt character. Follow the can’s approximately 250g fermentable option for lower alcohol.
For the lower-carb method, add a 3g glucoamylase sachet with the yeast as directed. An optional approximately 30g dry-hop addition can add tropical or citrus aroma.
Other Brick Road pale and IPA styles
- Brick Road Hazy Pale Ale – a wheat-led hazy base with hazy ale yeast.
- Brick Road IPA – a clean, hop-forward IPA with American ale yeast.
- Brick Road Pale Ale – a classic pale ale with flexible strength and dry-hop options.
These kits differ in grain base, yeast, fermentable quantity and suggested dry-hop rate. Select the style first, then follow that can’s standard, fuller-malt or lower-alcohol method.
