What else you will need

Add the fermentable specified by the kit. Malt extract adds body; dextrose gives a lighter, drier result.

OG is approximately 1.040–1.044. Follow the supplied yeast temperature rather than assuming lager conditions.

Dextrose – 1kg supplies the brewing-sugar option in the Connoisseurs instructions for a lighter, drier beer. Use it as the chosen extra fermentable, rather than adding it on top of a malt-extract alternative.
