Brick Road Pilsner Blonde produces a pale-straw lager-style beer with low-to-medium bitterness and a clean, refreshingly dry finish.
What to use with this kit
- Standard batch: Add 1kg dextrose or brewing sugar.
- More malt character: Use 1kg Brick Road Extra Light DME.
- Lower-alcohol version: Use around 250g fermentable, following the can recipe.
- Lower-carb option: Add a compatible 3g glucoamylase sachet with the yeast.
The included New World hybrid lager yeast can ferment up to 22°C. A standard 23-litre batch is approximately 5 EBC, 17 IBU, OG 1.038 and FG 1.008.
Other Brick Road lager and pilsner styles
- Brick Road Dry Lager – a light lager with mild bitterness and a dry finish.
- Brick Road Gold Lager – a clean lager with slightly more pale-malt sweetness.
- Brick Road Kolsch – a very pale beer fermented with European ale yeast.
- Brick Road Mexican Cervesa – a pale, clean Mexican-style lager.
- Brick Road Lager – a refreshing classic lager with hybrid lager yeast.
These styles use different yeast types, fermentables, dry-hop options and optional enzyme methods. Follow the exact can recipe and do not transfer the Kolsch ale-yeast or lower-carb instructions between products.
