Brick Road Red Ale produces an amber-red beer with caramel and toffee malt flavour, medium bitterness and a slightly dry finish.
What to use with this kit
- Standard batch: Add 1kg dextrose or brewing sugar.
- More malt character: Use 1kg Brick Road Extra Light DME.
- Fuller version: Use 1.5kg Brick Road Extra Light Malt and an additional suitable ale yeast.
- Lower-alcohol option: Use around 250g fermentable, following the can recipe.
A standard 23-litre batch is approximately 20 EBC and 27 IBU. The kit includes ale yeast; dry hopping is optional rather than necessary.
