Brick Road Hopped Amber Malt is a 1.5kg hopped liquid malt extract for building amber ales, APAs, English bitters and other compatible recipes with your selected yeast and additional fermentables.

Recipe contribution

In 23 litres: Colour up to approximately 11 EBC, medium bitterness of about 27 IBU and approximately 1.012 gravity points.
Equivalent contribution: About 1.75kg of golden base grain plus bittering hops.

Use with a suitable unhopped liquid malt extract or dried malt extract to reach the gravity and body required by your recipe. This is a brewing ingredient rather than a complete one-can beer kit.

Compare Brick Road dry and hopped malt extracts

Dry malt extract and hopped liquid malt perform different jobs. The DME products add fermentable malt without preset bitterness; the hopped extracts already contribute malt colour and bitterness. Follow the quantities and balance in your chosen recipe.

Brick Road DME Amber – 1kg unhopped amber dry malt extract for amber, red and brown ales.
Brick Road DME Dark – 1kg unhopped dark dry malt extract for stout, porter and dark ales.
Brick Road Hopped Dark Malt – 1.5kg hopped dark liquid malt for darker ales, stout and porter.
Brick Road Hopped Light Malt – 1.5kg hopped light liquid malt with low-to-medium bitterness.

Important: Follow the directions and ingredient quantities for the exact kit or recipe you choose.
