Black Rock Unhopped Dark

Black Rock Unhopped Dark Malt Extract adds colour, body and complex roasted-malt flavour to dark ales, porters and stouts. It blends pale, crystal, black and roasted malts and contains no hop bitterness.

Using dark malt extract

• Colour: approximately 40 ± 5 EBC
• Unhopped, so recipe bitterness must come from the beer kit or separate hops
• Can replace sugar in a compatible beer kit for greater body and malt flavour

A full can contributes more fermentable extract than 1kg sugar, so it can also alter final strength. Follow a tested recipe or allow for the change when planning yeast and batch volume.
