Brick Road Extra Light Malt is a 1.5 kg unhopped liquid malt extract for pale beer styles, extract recipes and boosting compatible beer kits. It adds fermentable malt character while keeping colour light.

Brewing specifications

Pack size: 1.5 kg.
Contributes up to approximately 5 EBC colour in 23 litres.
Adds around 1.012 specific-gravity points in a 23-litre batch.
Can replace approximately 1.75 kg of extra-light base grain in a suitable recipe.

It is particularly useful for lager, pilsner, pale ale and IPA recipes where a light colour and clean malt base are wanted.

What to use it with

Use it with a suitable hopped beer kit in place of plain sugar when you want more malt body and flavour, or combine it with hops and yeast as the extract base for your own recipe. Always follow the target recipe’s volume and bitterness balance.
