Wortometer

The Grainfather Wortometer helps you monitor and control the temperature of wort leaving a counterflow chiller. The nickel-coated copper fitting provides a contact point for the Grainfather controller’s temperature probe during transfer.

How to use

Fit the Wortometer in the chilled-wort line as directed by Grainfather, insert the controller probe, and adjust cooling-water flow until the displayed transfer temperature suits your yeast and recipe.

Helpful information

Sanitise every surface that contacts cooled wort. Confirm hose connections are secure before pumping, and avoid touching hot fittings during or immediately after use.

Compatible counterflow-chiller setups

The Wortometer is relevant when a compatible controller probe and counterflow-chiller outlet line are available, including systems such as the G30v3 Counterflow Chiller package.
