The Still Spirits American Charred Oak Bottle Spiral provides convenient oak extraction without loose chips or a barrel. Its slim 8cm format is designed to fit into a suitable bottle and lift out cleanly after infusion.

How to use the bottle spiral

Use one spiral per 1L of beer, spirit or cider. Leave it for approximately one to two weeks, tasting periodically, and remove it when the desired oak character is reached.

This is the smaller bottle spiral. Larger carboy spirals use different quantities and contact times, so their instructions should not be applied to this product.

Bottle or carboy format?

This 8cm spiral is sized and dosed for approximately 1L bottle infusions. For 11-23L carboy use, choose the larger American Charred Oak Carboy Spiral and follow that product’s longer contact guidance.
