Edwards Butterscotch Schnapps creates an indulgent butterscotch-style liqueur with a roasted-toffee edge.

What else you will need

850ml vodka or 38% neutral spirit
250g white sugar
260ml water

Add the full 50ml essence, mix thoroughly and bottle. The recipe makes approximately 1.4 litres and can also be adapted to a suitable cream-liqueur base.
