A traditional two-chamber bubbler airlock for beer, wine, cider, mead and distilling-wash fermentation. It allows carbon dioxide to escape while helping prevent outside air and contaminants entering the fermenter.
How to use
- Fit the airlock firmly into a suitable bung or fermenter-lid grommet.
- Add sanitiser solution or cooled boiled water to the chambers.
- Keep the fermenter upright and check the liquid level during fermentation.
What else you will need
If your fermenter lid has a plain airlock hole, use a Top Hat Grommet to create an airtight seal.
Helpful information
Airlock activity is useful, but bubbling alone does not prove fermentation is complete. Confirm completion with stable hydrometer readings before bottling or distilling.
