A French-made spirit alcometer approximately 285mm long, with an easy-to-read 0–100% alcohol scale for suitable clear spirit samples.
How to use
Float it freely in a tall test cylinder without touching the sides and read at the liquid surface according to its instructions. Use near the calibration temperature and correct for temperature where required.
Helpful information
An alcometer is for water-and-ethanol mixtures; sugar, flavouring and other dissolved material make the reading unreliable. Glass is fragile, so handle carefully.

This approximately 285mm-long instrument requires a test cylinder tall enough for it to float clear of the base and sides. Compare the Still Spirits Alcometer for another 0–100% spirit-measuring option. Do not assume either instrument fits a particular parrot or cylinder without checking its internal dimensions.
