Still Spirits Granulated Carbon 500g

Still Spirits Granulated Carbon is 2mm extruded activated carbon for reducing distillation by-products, colour, selected off-flavours and unwanted aromas. Its relatively large pore size supports faster flow, although good contact time remains important.

How to use granulated carbon

• During fermentation: use 15g per litre of wash and leave it in the wash for seven days.
• After distillation: rinse before use, then use 25–75g per litre of spirit. Dilute spirit below 50% ABV before filtering, or soak for seven days and stir briefly each day.

For filtration, allow the spirit to pass through slowly so the carbon has enough contact time to work effectively.
