Hydrometer Test Jar

This 10-inch plastic hydrometer test jar provides a narrow sample column for checking specific gravity without placing the hydrometer directly into the fermenter.

How to use it

Draw a representative sample with sanitised equipment, fill the jar high enough for the hydrometer to float freely, then lower it gently and spin it to release clinging bubbles. Read at the liquid surface according to the hydrometer instructions.

Compatible instrument

Use with a standard Home Brew Hydrometer. Do not return the sample to the fermenter, as this can introduce contamination.
