5L Glass Jar & Lid

This 5L glass jar includes a mechanical swing lid and provides a practical vessel for storing ingredients, steeping flavour additions and suitable small-batch beverage projects.

Using it for fermentation

If using the jar for a suitable non-pressurised fermentation, remove the sealed swing-lid arrangement and fit a compatible bung and airlock. The Bored Bung 26-34mm is the listed bored option for this jar.

Replacement swing lid

If the original mechanical closure becomes damaged or lost, use the matching 5L replacement swing lid. It is intended for this jar and does not fit the separate screw-cap 5L Glass Demijohn.

Do not use the jar for pressure fermentation or bottle conditioning. Inspect the glass and closure before every use, and clean and sanitise all drink-contact surfaces.
